ROWING COURSE:
The buoys running parallel to the beach (one red, one green and the rest yellow), which mark the swimmer’s lane remain in place and do not follow the line of the course. The yellow chains between them will be removed for the event. PLEASE NOTE: You are required to remain shoreside of the large green buoy at the end of the new pier.
Start at the Western end of the harbour, row approx. 800 m to buoys at the Eastern end of the harbour in front of the sea wall and return to the start. Stations are numbered from the INSIDE of the course. J14/J16 races will start at the turns.
TRAILER PARKING:
Please ensure you unload your boats and remove your trailers ASAP. Please follow directions from the DRC marshalls and unload/load in the designated area and then park the towing vehicle & trailer in the DHB/Ringo Car Park advised by the Marshall. Car park is in use by the General public, please be sensible when parking your trailers and towing vehicles and if possible park in the same area. Please keep your towing vehicle with the trailer so no additional charges are forwarded onto you.
SCRATCHINGS/LATE ENTRIES:
Will be accepted subject to there being no more than 10 boats in any fours event and 12 boats in any pairs or sculls event (unless the Umpires or Judges have deemed extra crew(s) may race and space on the course permits).
CAPTAINS/SAFETY/COXSWAINS MEETING:
Will be held at the Regatta Control located on the beach at 10:00hrs
AGGREGATE TROPHIES:
The Junior Aggregate Trophy, The Castle Trophy donated by C. F. Bollans Esq, is awarded to the Club gaining the highest number of points in the Open Junior Fours, Women’s Junior Fours, Open Junior Pairs, Women’s Junior Pairs, Open Junior Sculls and Women’s Junior Sculls.
The Senior Aggregate Trophy donated by William F. Bingham BEM, is awarded to the Club gaining the highest number of points in the Open Senior Fours, Women’s Senior Fours, Open Senior Pairs, Women’s Senior Pairs and Open Senior Sculls.
The Grand Aggregate Trophy, the Coronation Cup, is awarded to the Club gaining the highest number of points at the regatta in the following events; Open and Women’s Senior Fours, Open Junior-Senior Fours, Open and Women’s Junior Fours, Open and Women’s Novice Fours, Open and Women’s Senior Pairs, Open and Women’s Junior Pairs, Open Senior Sculls, Open and Women’s Junior Sculls, Open and Women’s Novice Sculls, Open and Women’s Double Sculls, Open Masters Fours 40+, Open Masters Fours 50+ and Women’s Masters Fours 40+.
The Roger Cuff Trophy is awarded to the club with the most sculling points.
The Dai Rees Memorial Trophy is awarded to the first Kent Junior-Senior Crew across the finish line in the Junior-Senior Fours race.
Points awarded for Aggregate
1st Place: 5 pts, 2nd Place: 3 pts, 3rd Place: 1 pt.
Dover Regatta Prizes
Will be presented approximately 30 minutes after the finish of the last race.
